Boys & Girls Clubs of America require new Clubs be sponsored and mentored by an existing Boys & Girls Club with a track record of success until the new Club is established and operating from a sound programmatic and financial basis. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Magic Valley have agreed to sponsor the new Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Idaho. Operating nine locations in the Magic Valley, the Boys & Girls Club of Magic Valley have served that region’s youth for 27 years, with an annual operating budget of $3,000,000. The Magic Valley Club is focused on providing a safe environment during non-school hours, and helping young people succeed through curriculum-based targeted programs and high-yield activities designed to help members reach Academic Success, Good Character & Leadership, and Healthy Lifestyles.
Our goal is to start a program in the Fall of 2022, with an after-school program within a Pocatello-Chubbuck School District elementary school that isn’t currently offering after-school services.
During the first two years of operation, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Idaho will select a location from among several already being made available, and establish a physical location as a venue for expanding services to middle school and high school students.
Concurrently, additional staff will be hired and trained in Boys & Girls Club programs and methodologies.
At the end of the first four years of operation, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Idaho will be fully operational, serving the community’s youth ages 5-18 with the programs Boys & Girls Clubs across the nation deliver to change young people’s lives for the better.

“I like going to the Club because the staff are nice, and I have a lot of friends here. We get to do fun things and learn new stuff. They helped me through rough times when my mom passed away and were very kind to me.”
